My Comments on The Treatment of Black Children in Missouri

Although the problems involving Missouri's children is a statewide issue, much focus has been in Greene County, Missouri where 2 year old Dominic James was murdered in Willard (a town near Springfield). Some parents might not be happy about
every report that comes from the Springfield Newsleader, but at least this newspaper is helping to bring attention and education about DFS.
DFS is not into the business of taking kids and ruining families
Dec.2002--Springfield Newsleader (please note: I want to present all sides, but the writer attempts to suggest that children are removed from the homes and deserve to be removed. In the case of Dominic James, his father did not break any laws and had not done anything
to deserve his child be taken away. But since the child abuse/endangerment/neglect laws are so vague, perhaps it was because he was a black man on Frisco Street with a beautiful blue-eyed baby boy asking for help but instead gets his baby taken away in Springfield.
